Design

Building upon the sucess of the Atlas flight computer used in flights 1 and 2, flight 3 will use the same Atlas flight computer coupled with a sensor daughter board connected via i2c.

This sensor board will have a number of features:

  • controlling the release of ballast from the tank
  • detecting the amount of ballast remaining
  • sensing internal temperature
  • sensing light intensity.
  • control the Morse beacon
